Responsibilities Operate a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, skid steers, compactors, and haul trucksPerform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and site preparation activitiesAssist with underground utility installation including storm, sewer, and water systemsRead and interpret grades, stakes, plans, and project specificationsConduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needsWork closely with Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews to ensure projects stay on scheduleFollow all company safety policies and proceduresMaintain equipment in a clean and professional conditionSupport crews with labor tasks as needed Qualifications 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience in civil constructionExperience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and other heavy equipmentStrong understanding of grading, excavation, and utility installationAbility to read grade stakes and construction plansKnowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe operating proceduresValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsReliable transportation to jobsites Preferred Experience Heavy civil constructionSite developmentRoadway constructionUnderground utilitiesEarthwork and mass gradingGPS machine control systemsCDL (preferred but not required) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidays401(k) with company contributionCompany-provided safety gearLong-term career growth opportunitiesStable backlog of local work What We're Looking For We're looking for a dependable operator who enjoys being part of a team and takes ownership of their work.
