Job Overview The Heavy Equipment Operator safely and effectively operates construction equipment on active jobsites. Equipment may include front-end loaders, trackhoes, bulldozers, GPS dozers, rollers, off-road trucks, mini excavators, excavators, and skid steers. Additional duties may be assigned based on project needs. What You'll Do Safely enter and exit heavy machinery while maintaining three points of contact. Operate heavy equipment with awareness of jobsite surroundings and proper multi-limb coordination. Follow heavy equipment safety practices and operating procedures. Inspect and perform daily equipment maintenance to support safe, reliable operation. Work as part of a construction crew and follow the foreman's instructions to help meet project schedules. Follow traffic control instructions and all company safety policies and procedures. Adapt to changes in work schedules, project locations, and shift times. Qualifications Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ pounds. Two or more years of heavy equipment operator experience preferred.
