About the role
The Town of Wellesley is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator for the Highway Division.
Responsibilities
- Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment
- Performs semi-skilled building and construction work on streets, sidewalks, catch basins, etc.
- Participates in snow removal, ice control, standby, emergency, and call-in duty
- Ensures proper operation of all equipment and follows all required safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid MA Class B CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A good employment record
- Ability to obtain a valid Hoisting Engineer?s License classes 1C, 2B and 4E within six months of hire
- Proficiency in the operation of Class B vehicles and medium equipment
- The ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions and use hand and power tools
