About the role
We are actively seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator at Synergen Construction, a Synergen Company.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment maintenance in a proficient manner
- Perform sloping, stripping, grading, backfilling, and clearing techniques at an expert level
- Utilize grade control techniques
- Utilize advanced technologies related to the construction industry
- Read, interpret, and implement construction plans
- Mentor and develop Junior Equipment Operators
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, and inspectors
Requirements
- At least 3 years of equipment operating experience required
- High School Diploma or greater preferred
- Current Driver’s License
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- General understanding of soil and material properties
- Able to interpret survey markers (stakes, hubs, control points)
- Excellent communication skills
