Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Sollers Construction LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Morenci, AZ. You will work on a variety of projects, including new single-family housing construction and general commercial contracting services.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as scrapers, trackhoes, motor graders, bulldozers, front end loaders, backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators, dump trucks, and hydro excavators
• Excavate and prepare sites for construction projects
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
• Conduct heavy equipment repairs and maintenance as needed

Requirements

• Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment
• Knowledge of civil construction techniques and best practices
• Ability to operate various heavy equipment, including trackhoes, motor graders, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, mini excavators, dump trucks, and hydro excavators
• Experience with road construction and highway construction projects
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints

Skills

• Welding and fabrication skills (nice to have)
• Previous experience operating bobcats, mini excavators, dump trucks, pipe layers, or underground utility work (nice to have)
• Knowledge of flagging procedures for construction sites (nice to have)

Pay

The salary for this position ranges from $62,425 to $80,388 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
