Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Silver Star Construction, a local road construction company, is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to drive/operate and control various types of large equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive/Operate and Control Large Equipment Including Bulldozers, Backhoes, Front-End Loaders, Scraper/Tractor Pans, Track Hoes, Motor Graders, Mixers, and Water Trucks.
• Unload Equipment From Vehicles.
• Knowledge of Machine Settings.
• Maintain Equipment Functionality Often.
• Keep Performance Records of Machine Functionality Regularly.
• Provide Preemptive Maintenance on Equipment to Prevent Malfunction.
• Pre Trip and Post Trip Inspections/Evaluations of the Equipment.

Requirements

• Skilled Heavy Equipment Operators with Verifiable Experience Running Grader, Dozer, Scraper, Track Hoe, Mixer, and Front-end Loader.
• Must Pass Background Check, Drug Screen/Physical.
• Must Be Willing to Work Outdoors in Extreme Temperatures, Both Hot and Cold.
• Must Be Able to Work Nights and Weekends When Necessary.
• Must Be Able to Work Overtime When Required.
• Must Be Able to Perform Physical Tasks Such as Bending, Standing, Crouching, Shoveling, etc.
• Must Adhere to Safety Requirements and Procedures.

Qualifications
