Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Segale Properties, a mid-sized commercial real estate company, is hiring a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator & Laborer to join our team. This is a full-time, year-round position. Segale is looking for someone committed to exception work, cares about details others might not notice, takes pride in being reliable, and works independently as well as within a team. Regardless of role or tenure, everyone at Segale chips in to get-it-done with a sense of humor and humility.

Responsibilities

• General laborer work (grade checking and scaling, shoveling, and similar)
• Operating various heavy equipment (loader, excavator, backhoe, dozer, grader, and similar) and occasional CDL driving
• Assist in training others with equipment operation and safety
• Work in Othello, WA 3-5 weeks per year (travel at Segale's expense and completed during the workweek)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Demonstrated understanding of grades and elevations
• Able to perform physically demanding daily work outside, including lifting up to 60 pounds, bending, turning, sitting, standing, and other required movement without limitations
• Valid Washington State Driver's License with a safe driving record
• Punctual and reliable attendance; attentive throughout the day

Location & work schedule

The position is based out of our Tukwila, WA, office. Work completed in Othello, WA 3-5 weeks per year (expenses paid by Segale and limited to the workweek).
