Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator for its Virginia SMA operations in Staunton, VA. The successful candidate will operate various pieces of heavy equipment and work both on the ground and in the plant, with a strong commitment to safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Work on the ground and in the plant as needed
• Assist with fixed plant maintenance
• Operate heavy equipment with precision and excellence in a variety of terrains and conditions
• Perform various production duties
• Complete required daily inspections, light maintenance, greasing, and fueling of heavy equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist other areas as necessary

Qualifications

• Dedication to safe work practices
• At least two years of proficient experience operating heavy equipment preferred
• Experience operating excavator, dozer, track hoe, loader, haul truck, skid steer, and others
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours as needed
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate exposure to loud noises
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document
