Heavy Equipment Operator

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Recognizing and reporting any mechanical or safety issues with the equipment
• Ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are always followed
• Coordinating and communicating with other construction workers to ensure efficient task completion
• Operating heavy machinery to perform construction-related tasks, such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
• Adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to construction, safety, and equipment operation
• Load and unload heavy materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors
• Adapt to varying working conditions and adapt to changing job requirements as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Ensure that all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow regulations and guidelines for construction sites

Requirements

• Must have a current CDL License
• Proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of various heavy equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
• Ability to read and understand technical and operational manuals
• Good physical condition and stamina, able to work in various weather conditions
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid certification to operate heavy equipment (preferred)
