Roles & Responsibilities
- Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Recognizing and reporting any mechanical or safety issues with the equipment
- Ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are always followed
- Coordinating and communicating with other construction workers to ensure efficient task completion
- Operating heavy machinery to perform construction-related tasks, such as digging, lifting, and moving materials
- Adhering to all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to construction, safety, and equipment operation
- Load and unload heavy materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles
- Understand and follow directions from supervisors
- Adapt to varying working conditions and adapt to changing job requirements as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ensure that all work is completed in an efficient and timely manner
- Follow regulations and guidelines for construction sites
Requirements
- Must have a current CDL License
- Proven work experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of various heavy equipment
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
- Ability to read and understand technical and operational manuals
- Good physical condition and stamina, able to work in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid certification to operate heavy equipment (preferred)
