Heavy Equipment Operator

Cheek Construction Cheek Construction is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily construction operations. The ideal candidate has experience operating heavy equipment, takes pride in their work, and prioritizes safety, productivity, and teamwork. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, and graders, as assigned.Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, and other dirt work activities.Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.Work closely with crew members and supervisors to meet project schedules and production goals.Maintain equipment cleanliness and follow proper operating and safety procedures.Assist with general labor duties as needed. Qualifications Previous heavy equipment operating experience preferred.Knowledge of construction site safety and equipment operation.Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred, if applicable.
