Responsibilities
This position is a field-based role and will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania. Operators will be responsible for:
- Operating various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities
- Placing or maintaining underground utilities, including digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, handholes, manholes, backfilling, and compacting
- Daily maintenance of equipment, such as maintaining fluids and greasing equipment as required
- Embracing H&M’s safety culture, including safe operation of equipment, wearing appropriate PPE, and participating in daily and weekly safety talks
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include:
- Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred
- Valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
