Responsibilities

This position is a field-based role and will travel daily to job sites mostly in Pennsylvania. Operators will be responsible for:

• Operating various equipment including backhoes, excavators, dozers, plows, trenchers, and directional bore machines for the installation or maintenance of underground utilities
• Placing or maintaining underground utilities, including digging around existing utilities, placing conduit, handholes, manholes, backfilling, and compacting
• Daily maintenance of equipment, such as maintaining fluids and greasing equipment as required
• Embracing H&M’s safety culture, including safe operation of equipment, wearing appropriate PPE, and participating in daily and weekly safety talks

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

• Minimum of two years experience with construction, excavation, and related heavy equipment operation preferred
• Valid motor vehicle operator license with a CDL A license preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with OSHA Regulations regarding trench safety

Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
