Heavy Equipment Operator

About the role

This position is responsible for day-to-day Heavy Equipment Operation activities at a steel-metal recovery plant. Running equipment such as loaders, excavators, skidsteer, heavy duty trucks, cranes.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine mobile equipment pre start and post inspections and records activity on inspection sheets.
• Follows all plant safety guidelines for the safe operations of heavy mobile equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience as a equipment operator.
• Ability to do manual labor in an outdoor environment that may include elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
• Good communications skills, and the ability to read operating instructions.
• Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment.
