Carrington Lawn & Landscape is seeking dependable, skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our elite Snow Operations Team. Our operators are the first responders when winter weather hits, safely operating state-of-the-art equipment to keep commercial properties safe and accessible throughout every snow event. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including:
- Front-End Wheel Loaders
- Compact Wheel Loaders
- Trucks with V-Plows
- Skid Steers
- Clear commercial parking lots, drives, and loading areas according to company standards.
- Push, stack, relocate, and load snow in designated areas.
- Complete equipment inspections before, during, and after each shift.
- Report equipment issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Follow site maps, service routes, and customer specifications.
- Operate equipment safely around buildings, vehicles, pedestrians, and other crew members.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors using company software and mobile devices.
- Assist with de-icing operations when required.
- Represent Carrington professionally at all customer properties.
- Perform other snow operations duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment is required.
- Snow removal experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
Availability
- Be available on-call throughout the snow season (typically November through April).
- Be willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during snow events.
- Respond promptly when called for snow operations.
- Remain flexible as schedules are weather-dependent.
Physical Requirements
- Sit and operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
- Enter and exit equipment repeatedly.
- Work outdoors in snow, ice, wind, and extreme cold.
- Lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Maintain focus and awareness during long shifts.
