Responsibilities

  • Replace and repair broken equipment
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems such as motors, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components
  • Follow all Company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform field services and repairs on various equipment
  • Cookordinate with Equipment Manager on needed parts & supplies necessary to repair and rebuild items
  • Use and operate all hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner
  • View safety as paramount and pro-actively identify safety hazards
  • Complete accurate required maintenance documents and records
  • Participate in Equipment Manager meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have own hand tools up to 1 5/8 or be willing to invest in tools as needed
  • Must have good driving record
  • Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Ability to pass ATF screenings
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position
  • Physical ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs., 30 - 40% of the time, with stooping and bending 30 - 40% of the time
  • Physical ability to work outside on uneven and loose surfaces in varying weather environments

Qualifications

  • High school or technical school graduate
  • ASE certified in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance
  • At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Core skills in mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics, diesel motors, welding, electrical systems, and PLC skills
