About the role

This position is within the Public Works department and involves the maintenance and repair of medium and heavy-duty motorized diesel, gasoline, or compressed natural gas equipment, including track driven equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment.
  • Operate and service vehicles requiring a valid California Class A Driver’s License.
  • Pass a six-month probationary period with a valid California Class A Driver’s License.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in maintenance and repair of medium and heavy-duty motorized diesel, gasoline, or compressed natural gas equipment.
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Driver’s License.
  • Possession of a valid California Class A Driver’s License required for the probationary period.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the exam process.
