Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on rock crushing equipment, earthmoving machinery, and paving tools
- Perform maintenance and repairs on all company-owned vehicles, including dump trucks and pickups, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely
- Change oil and other essential fluids to keep the fleet in top condition
- Maintain an organized and clean shop environment with good housekeeping practices
- Directly contribute to the company's commitment to safety and excellence in the construction industry
Requirements
- 3+ years working as a mechanic
- Insurable, clean Drivers License
- Able to troubleshoot engine problems and properly repair them
- Proficient in operating a wide variety of equipment including power, air, and hand tools
- Familiarity with welding processes
- Familiarity with using a Voltage Meter
- Prior experience using hand and power tools as well as shop equipment and tools
- Respectfully willing to deliver quality work within tight timeframes in an ever-changing environment
