Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the role

Journey Group is a 115-year-old company based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, or overhauling various types of construction equipment.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, gas, diesel, and pneumatic construction equipment. - Prioritize safety, respect, and ethical practices in all work.

Requirements

- 3-5 years of experience working as a mechanic, preferred. - Truck/heavy equipment experience preferred. - Analytical and critical thinking with strong problem-solving skills. - Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required.

Qualifications

- No specified educational background required, but relevant experience is preferred.

Skills

- Must possess the ability to analyze and solve complex mechanical issues. - Proficient in operating heavy machinery and equipment.
