Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the role

A Heavy Equipment Mechanic is needed to repair large, off-road, construction type equipment in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate should have experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with pot carriers, loaders, material handlers, fork trucks, and cranes.
• Complete repairs and modifications according to OEM specifications and procedures.
• Utilize welding and fabrication skills as needed.
• Understand and interpret technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, and schematics.

Requirements

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass drug/alcohol screens.

Skills

• Experience with diesel and gasoline engines.
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Experience with electronics.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
