Responsibilities
- Day-to-day maintenance and repair of various types of heavy equipment.
- Repair large, off-road, construction type equipment such as pot carriers, loaders, material handlers, fork trucks, and cranes.
- Complete diagnostics, troubleshoot, and perform repairs based on OEM specifications and procedures.
- Work in an industrial environment with the ability to understand and follow technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, and schematics.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-7 years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor environment, including elevated areas and extreme weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to read operating instructions.
- Proactive in safety and works well in a team environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, and/or electronics preferred.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
