Job Description and Duties
You will support and manage the day-to-day business operations for Cal OES, which involves working in an office setting. Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required, including having a valid Driver’s License (DL).
Working Conditions
This position is headquartered in Mather, Sacramento County. It is not considered a hybrid telework position.
Minimum Requirements
You must have the following:
- A valid Driver’s License (DL)
- Experience in commercial, fire apparatus repairs and servicing
- Knowledge of Air Brake Systems, including the Air Brake System in detail
- Experience with centrifugal water pumps and their main components and functions
- ASE Certification or equivalent for Vehicle Brakes, Commercial Air Brake Systems, Diagnostics, Hydraulic Pumps/Systems, Electrical Systems, Diesel Motor Repair, Heavy Diesel Equipment Repair, Fire Apparatus Repair, Gas Engine Repair, Tire dismount and install
- 2 years of experience in Diesel Motor Repair
- 2 years of experience in Heavy Diesel Equipment Repair and Fire Apparatus Repair
- 2 years of experience in Gas Engine Repair
- CA Commercial A or B License with Tanker and Air Brake Endorsement

Qualifications
The Statement of Qualifications should be no more than two pages, single-spaced in Arial 11 point font. It should describe your experience in commercial, fire apparatus repairs and servicing, the Air Brake System in detail, and the main components and functions of a Centrifugal Water Pump.
