Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Requirements / Responsibilities

• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to work in outdoor and industrial environments including heat, cold, dust, mud, and noise.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts if needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and timely equipment repairs.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, and after-treatment systems (DEF, DPF, SCR).
• Complete scheduled PM services and identify equipment deficiencies before failures occur.
• Communicate effectively with equipment operators and supervisors regarding repair needs and equipment performance.
• Follow all company safety guidelines, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Complete service reports and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Self-motivated, with own tools.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ mechanic experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
