Job Description
Design, analyze, program, debug, test, and modify controls designs related to automated capital equipment and to support existing equipment operations to improve equipment uptime and reliability as well as safety and food safety.
Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve as well as support installation and troubleshooting of various I/O devices connected to PLC’s including HMI’s, scanners, remote I/O, sensors, relays, solenoids, etc., and support/assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and pneumatic circuits.
Create and maintain existing flow charts for all automated systems.
Partnership in developing and maintaining our IT systems related to our plant IT network and infrastructure, both internally and with external vendors.
Work with internal and external resources to design and implement SCADA system and data collection with current data historian PI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
- 4+ years of experience working in manufacturing
- Proficient with Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley: ControlLogix, Compactlogix, RSLogix, FT View and Studio 5000.
- System integration and networking experience with one or more of the following: TCP/IP, Profibus or Modbus+/RTU
- Ability to diagnose problems with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems interfacing with electronic systems
- Experience writing CIP codes preferred
- Working knowledge of high touch food plant production and processing equipment preferred
- Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety, OSHA, EPA regulations, FDA, SQF, and sanitation standards preferred
