We’re hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician at our rental facility in St. Louis, MO. Join us to maintain and repair a variety of customer and company-owned heavy equipment machinery and aerial lifts, working on the newest fleet in the industry.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Overtime pay after 40 hours
- Subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation
Responsibilities
- Use technology (laptops and tablets) to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models
- Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
- Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment using independent judgment
- Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed
- Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed daily
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment (Field Mechanic duties); maintain service vehicle professionally
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Participate in year-round company-provided OEM training
- Perform other assigned duties

Requirements
- Must own tools applicable to the position
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- High School diploma (Trade school certificate preferred)
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Field Technicians may be required to be clean-shaven to enter certain customer worksites
- This is a safety-sensitive position; employment contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen
