About the role
We are seeking a safety-focused and motivated Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining and repairing company-owned equipment to ensure reliable operation in the field.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned repair and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct equipment inspections and diagnostic testing to determine repair needs.
- Perform welding, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs as required.
- Install, align, and balance new equipment.
- Maintain accurate vehicle and equipment service records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Keep the work area and shop clean and organized.
- Follow all company and industry safety standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to team success.
- Be punctual and proactive in assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods.
