Heavy Equipment Assembler

Responsibilities

• Assembles electrical, mechanical and/or hydraulics crane components to support production schedules.
• Read and interpret micro, PLC and relay schematics.
• Assembles sub-assemblies and/or finished products in accordance with written and verbal instructions.
• Performs on-line testing and inspection activities.
• Maintains accurate records.
• Operates forklifts as required.
• Ensures compliance with quality system procedures and safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years relevant work experience.
• Electrical Assembly experience preferred.
• Able to read prints and shop manuals.
• Prior experience with hand and air tools.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and testing.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others.
• Basic knowledge of use of power and hand tools.

Physical And Environmental Elements

• Indoors and outdoors work (in all seasons).
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
• Accurate hand/eye coordination required.
• Finger dexterity required.
• Hand strength needed for grasping, lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Long periods of climbing, twisting, bending, squatting and kneeling.
• Lifting parts weighing up to 50 pounds and pulling approximately 20 lbs.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders and/or scaffolding.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly range: $20.00 to $26.00.
