Heavy Duty Lift Truck Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a high capacity lift truck to handle oversized complex parts
• Identify the lift truck components and report abnormalities if applicable
• Use safe methods while operating the lift truck
• Respect the load limit considering the handling techniques and standards
• Scan environment, assess risks and take the necessary precautions
• Safely load, unload or handle hazardous materials, including paint waste and used oil, while following safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the production supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to climb stairs and ladders; work at heights
• Able to lift and carry between 30-70 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, twist, reach
• Able to work above shoulders
• Tolerate exposure to weather, hot/cold environments
