Heavy Duty Driver

Qualifications/Requirements

• Possess and maintain a valid Class A driver’s license.
• CDL License Required
• At least two (2) years of heavy hauling / commercial driving experience
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record check.
• Able to operate an electric lift, hand truck, and pallet jack.
• Must be able to obtain TWIC and PVDL licenses.
• Time management skills; Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting work, hours, and information.
• Able to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor; ability to communicate calmly and effectively with Dispatch and customers.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Reliable, strong customer service and professional demeanor
• Ability to communicate and work closely with Dispatch.
• Ability to follow all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulations.
• Maintain clean truck inside and out, removing all trash/debris daily.
• Immediately report any issue that restricts the ability to complete the dispatch in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policy and procedures in regards towing, recovery, and road service, including the removal of drive shafts and axels.
• Able to work with software programs, mobile devices i.e., Samsara, GPS, and Towbook

Physical Requirements

• Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing.
