About the role

The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician performs a variety of highly skilled tasks in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of highly skilled tasks in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and related equipment.
• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma and four years of satisfactory experience installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, equipment and machinery.
• Continuing possession of an appropriate class, valid Driver's License issued by the State of New York.
• Continuing possession of the Universal Technician Certification for servicing all types of equipment, as determined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
• Building Management System (BMS) experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Must be qualified for provisional hire in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician title; must be available to take the Nassau County Civil Service exam when announced and be reachable when the exam is established.
