Responsibilities
- Operate all belt, rotary, internal quench, and tempering furnaces, as well as metal finishing equipment such as washers, shot peening equipment, extractors, and tumbling barrels.
- Retrieve and replace components from prior processes and move them to the next stage to ensure continuous equipment operation.
- Assist, train, and develop new operators.
- Work to established processes while maintaining high efficiency and quality per U.S. Tsubaki standards.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Follow procedures for quality and operational processes in the assigned area.
- Collaborate with peers and supervisors as a team player.
- Adapt work practices to meet business needs.
- Handle materials weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
- Follow direction from group leaders or supervisors.
- Identify and report errors in routing procedures, prints, drawings, specifications, and materials for correction.
Requirements
- Experience in a metal working environment, preferably in chain manufacturing with a focus on heat treatment and metal finishing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Self-starter with the ability to follow quality and operational procedures.
- Team player capable of working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Flexibility to adapt work practices as required by business needs.
- Capable of handling weights in excess of 50 lbs.
