About the role
Full-time (40 hrs/wk) day shift with a rotating start time (7am, 8am, or 8:30am). No nights, weekends, holidays, or call.
Responsibilities
- Performs Electrocardiograms (EKGs). Processes results, reviews charges, and communicates with interpreting physicians when there are system issues.
- Applies and scans Holter and event monitors. Manages return of monitors and communicates with families when monitors are overdue.
- Performs Cardiac stress tests with overseeing Providers. Manages order to completed reports.
- Assists with pacemaker evaluation and Paceart Evaluations.
- Ensures billing is completed in a timely fashion.
- Maintains and inspects departmental equipment daily for cleanliness or any malfunctions.
- Completes patient care (may include vital signs, heights, weights, head circumference, and other patient care-related assignments) in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
- Documents patient care and other assignments according to department guidelines and assists with admission, transfer, and discharge as directed by licensed staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or 2 years of experience in lieu of a diploma/GED).
- Basic understanding of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Helps with triage of patients in clinic, performs EKGs, applies and scans Holters and Event monitors, and performs Cardiac Stress Testing.
- Prepares Pacemaker/ICD electronic transmissions for interpretation.
Qualifications
- Recommended: Associate's Degree in a related field of study.
- Recommended: Prior work experience in a related field.
Pay
Most new hires start between $18.30-$22.80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
