Responsibilities
- Aid in the evaluation and treatment of Cardiology patients in an outpatient hospital department/clinic, managing chronic patients.
- Assist in taking patient histories, conducting physical examinations, and recording the data in the patient’s record.
- Write consults and office visits.
- Prepare patient workups.
- Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered.
- Work alongside Physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications & Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing.
- Masters degree in Nursing Required or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board Required.
- Licenses And Certifications: ACLS Upon Hire Required and BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and PA - Physician Assistant Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PAs. Upon Hire Required or ACNP - Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) in the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required.
