About the role
We are looking for an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our team at HearingLife. HearingLife is a national hearing care company under the Demant umbrella and in association with Oticon. We have been providing high-quality hearing healthcare since 1904 and aim to help more people hear better through personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise to diagnose and treat hearing loss while ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Act in accordance with the required industry and state professional licensing standards.
- Grow your patient population and meet practice financial goals.
- Perform quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and educate and train hearing aid users on best practices.
- Conduct checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices, including troubleshooting, conducting repairs, and cleaning hearing aids.
- Achieve practice growth with a strong mindset on sales and key business metrics while maintaining ethical practice standards.
- Participate in local community outreach activities like health fairs and developing physician relationships.
- Counsel patients on the purchase of their hearing aids, devices, and accessories.
- Maintain a current understanding of third-party payors and various payment methods in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Support Telehealth initiatives to expand patient care and product portfolio, including conducting hearing tests and coaching patients on hearing aid devices.
- Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.
- Operate audiometric equipment and interpret results.
- Communicate test results and interpret and propose treatment in a manner easily understood by patients.
- Lead, mentor, and grow within the organization.
- Participate in leadership programs and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Active Hearing Aid Dispensing License or Audiology License in accordance with state requirements.
- 2+ years Hearing Aid sales experience or 2 years equivalent in industry training under a licensed HIS or AuD.
