About the role
This position is responsible for providing educational services to students who are hearing impaired.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with other special education professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Provide direct instruction in specialized areas such as sign language, auditory training, and assistive technology.
- Assist students in accessing general education curriculum through appropriate accommodations and modifications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and IEP goals.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid Florida teaching certificate in Special Education.
- Experience working with students who are hearing impaired preferred.
- Knowledge of assistive technologies and strategies for supporting hearing-impaired students.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Sign language proficiency.
- Knowledge of auditory training techniques.
- Experience with assistive listening devices.

Pay
- $14.00 per hour.
Schedule
