Healthy Harvest Corps- Lima
Member Duties
oin West Ohio Food Bank as a Healthy Harvest Corps AmeriCorps Member and play a direct role in advancing “food as medicine” initiatives across the community. This position centers on a medically supportive grocery box program, connecting neighbors referred by healthcare providers with nutritious food and wellness resources. Members will coordinate food packing and distribution, manage inventory, communicate with participants and referral partners, and use Healthy Eating Research guidelines to identify nutritious food options. Additional activities include engaging with community members at mobile markets, senior food distributions, and pantry programs. This role offers hands-on experience in public health, nutrition, food access, outreach, and program operations while building skills in communication, organization, and community engagement.
