About the Role
The Employee Benefits Strategist is responsible for consistently delivering an experience that is deliberately designed to make our clients more successful in their strategy, more knowledgeable about their people, and more comfortable with the decisions they have available. You will augment our production force by sharing our HUB Value Proposition to deliver quality employee experiences for our prospects and future customers. You will help clients connect the dots in strategic meetings, using our proprietary software platform and your experience to clarify a client’s current position and preview what is ahead.
Reporting to the HUB Employee Benefits Practice Leader, this position is best filled by a passionate employee benefits expert with a flair for communication. You will bridge technical information and actionable execution steps for clients, translating data into insights and insights into action. This role is highly visible within the Employee Benefits operation and will help drive organic growth and retention in partnership with the EB Sales Leader and EB Practice Leader.
Responsibilities
- Convey our HUB Value Proposition in conversations with prospects
- Assist teams in threading a narrative around the interrelation of a client’s employees, their behaviors, and the underlying costs of those decisions
- Drive immersive tools with clients to reveal truths about their plans, designs, etc., and align outcomes with their goals and objectives
- Assist our producers with closing new business by speaking to every HUB specialty
- Ensure we are delivering the right sales and consulting experience
- Join large or otherwise important cases as a strategic presence
- Play a key role at finalist meetings as an Employee Benefits Expert
- Activate and strategically deploy specialty services and experts to win business, secure existing accounts, and evolve multi-year plans for our customers
- Handle the “tough stuff” and position your experts and resources to be the best for a client
- Embrace new technology to aid in telling the right story for our clients and prospects
- Provide thought leadership for technical aspects of Employee Benefits
- Assist with best practices for account stewardship
- Develop long-lasting relationships with client teams and producers to grow and retain business
- Positively and proactively represent HUB in meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
- College Degree Preferred
- Licensed Life & Health – Michigan
- 5+ Years Employee Benefits experience
- Working Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Microsoft Outlook
Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience. Required Travel: Up to 25%. Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree).
