Healthcare Sector Leader
About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Northeast Region based Healthcare Sector Leader to join us at Buro Happold. You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our business, identifying and securing new strategic partnerships, specifically within the Healthcare sector, fostering Client and Collaborator relationships, and overseeing delivery of projects within this sector.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop important Key Client and Collaborator relationships with guidance from Partners and other work winners.
- Sell Client Propositions: Use personal expertise to identify the breadth of services offered by Buro Happold that meets the client's needs.
- Promote Client Focus: Collaborate internally and work as the KRM champion across our integrated discipline teams to build strong external Client and Collaborator relationships.
- Key Relationship Management (KRM) Data: In collaboration with our broader BD team, you will track and analyze business development activities, revenue generation, and client conversion rates.
- Provide regular reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
- Market Research and Analysis: Review and understand market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, market demands, and competitive landscapes. Use this information to develop actionable strategies for business development and growth.
- Industry Networking: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand professional networks, stay updated with industry trends, and identify potential business opportunities.
- Revenue Forecasting and Reporting: In collaboration with our business finance team, you will track and analyze business development activities, revenue generation, and client conversion rates.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to align business development initiatives and project delivery approach with overall company strategies. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements
Proven experience of 15+ years in business development and project delivery within the AEC industry. Track record of successfully supporting complex deals and achieving revenue targets. A Seller/Doer with strong business development, contributing to must-win proposal strategy Business Acumen: Strong understanding of engineering industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and make strategic business decisions. Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively present proposals, help negotiate deals, and build rapport with clients and stakeholders. Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare sector clients and partners. A strong network within the AEC industry. Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify growth opportunities, and develop innovative business development strategies. Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Results Orientation: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development targets. Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related field.

Benefits
- Salary range of $175,000 - $230,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience

Pay
This role offers a salary range of $175,000 - $230,000, depending on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid working schedule and summer hours.
