About The Role Healthcare robotics engineers design, build, and validate robotic systems used in clinical and care settings. These remote, full-time roles focus on safe autonomy, perception, motion planning, and rigorous verification to improve patient outcomes and operational reliability. Key Responsibilities Own core robotics modules including perception, SLAM, navigation, manipulation, and task planningBuild and maintain ROS 2 nodes, message interfaces, and launch pipelinesImplement sensor fusion using cameras, depth sensors, LiDAR, IMU, and wheel odometryDevelop motion planning and control loops with safety constraints and fail-safe behaviorsCreate simulation scenarios and regression tests for navigation, docking, and human-aware behaviorsDefine and track metrics such as task completion rate, localization drift, collision rate, and mean time to recoverySupport verification and validation activities aligned to medical device expectations (traceability, risk controls, test evidence) Required Qualifications Mid-Senior experience shipping robotics software to production or real-world deploymentsStrong C++ and PythonHands-on ROS 2 experienceExperience with perception, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, and controlComfort with Linux, Git, CI/CD, and automated testing Compensation Competitive hourly rate: $30–$50 per hour (final compensation depends on experience and role scope).
