About the role

Lions Gate Health Center is seeking a Healthcare Receptionist to join their team. The position is part-time, working Monday through Wednesday from 4pm-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 2pm.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, assist, and screen visitors while monitoring front-entrance activity.
  • Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Manage schedules for part-time receptionists and ensure daily front desk coverage.
  • Maintain petty cash for Administration.
  • Prepare a variety of letters, packets, and documents.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes for staff and residents.
  • Schedule quarterly Zoom care conferences for skilled nursing residents.
  • Notify the Ombudsman of hospitalizations.
  • Create and maintain the morning meeting Excel spreadsheet and update the daily census.
  • Maintain and upload the resident sign-in/out sheets.
  • Enter salon charges into PointClickCare for billing.
  • Order supplies, place Amazon orders, and monitor lobby safety protocols.
  • Aid with general administrative tasks and support various departments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (must-have), Microsoft Publisher (preferred), Microsoft Word & Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional phone etiquette and a friendly, welcoming attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
  • Comfortable interacting with the public, residents, and staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
