About the role
Lions Gate Health Center is seeking a Healthcare Receptionist to join their team. The position is part-time, working Monday through Wednesday from 4pm-8pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 2pm.
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and screen visitors while monitoring front-entrance activity.
- Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and accuracy.
- Manage schedules for part-time receptionists and ensure daily front desk coverage.
- Maintain petty cash for Administration.
- Prepare a variety of letters, packets, and documents.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes for staff and residents.
- Schedule quarterly Zoom care conferences for skilled nursing residents.
- Notify the Ombudsman of hospitalizations.
- Create and maintain the morning meeting Excel spreadsheet and update the daily census.
- Maintain and upload the resident sign-in/out sheets.
- Enter salon charges into PointClickCare for billing.
- Order supplies, place Amazon orders, and monitor lobby safety protocols.
- Aid with general administrative tasks and support various departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of receptionist experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (must-have), Microsoft Publisher (preferred), Microsoft Word & Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
- Comfortable interacting with the public, residents, and staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
