Healthcare Quality Assurance Analyst Manual Testing Medicaid

Position Number: 504649 | Temporary, Full-Time | Estimated Duration: 13 months | Hybrid Work Model: 4 days in office, 1 day remote per week

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Tester - Advanced will be assigned to projects for the Client, in collaboration with the Client Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO is responsible for staffing all Client projects as well as establishing and monitoring IT-related governance and standards, which are followed by all enterprise project teams for the Medicaid Agency. Candidates who enjoy working on complex, change-oriented projects will find this position attractive.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues.
• Initiate tests, analyze results, and find solutions to technical problems.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Client test processes and SDLC tools.
• Translate functional and technical requirements and technical designs into test cases.
• Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under the direction of test leads and senior testers.
• Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components.
• Assist in generation of requirement traceability matrices.
• Participate in defect triage, retest, and resolution.
• Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required.

Requirements

• Experience in translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios (2+ years).
• Knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing) (2+ years).
• Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid) business processes (3+ years).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Develop and execute test cases; clearly communicate and document test status and defects identified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field (years of experience can substitute for formal education).
• Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources.
• Experience with large enterprise or e-business systems (2+ years).
• Experience using QA tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar (3+ years).
• Prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) and in an AGILE delivery (3+ years).
