Healthcare Project Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management and delivery of healthcare projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project execution in coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Serve as a primary client contact, facilitating communication, decision-making, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee consultant coordination and project documentation to support design intent, technical quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.
- Guide project meetings, track action items, and resolve issues related to scope, schedule, budget, and technical coordination.
- Support permitting, bidding, construction administration, and closeout activities, including RFIs, submittals, and coordination during construction.
- Monitor project financial performance, invoicing, and collections in coordination with firm leadership and project accounting.
- Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing project environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (required)
- Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- Licensed Architect with 10 plus years of professional experience in Architecture
- Experience in managing multiple project types for healthcare clients
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, healthcare guidelines, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D modeling software
- LEED accreditation is a plus
- Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
- Excellent written + verbal communication and client relationship management skills
- Preferred Experience: Experience with large-scale or complex healthcare environments such as hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, specialty care, behavioral health, or academic medical centers.
- Experience with phased renovations, occupied healthcare environments, and multi-stakeholder user group processes.
- Experience supporting healthcare business development, pursuit strategy, interviews, and client relationship growth is a plus.
