Healthcare Principal
About the role
The role is a senior leader within Arup's Healthcare business on the West coast. It is a seller-doer role where the candidate is expected to engage actively in the market to create and deepen relationships to secure ongoing work and lead project teams for healthcare clients and collaborators. They will also support career development for members including mentorship and participation in promotion, appraisal, and review processes.
Responsibilities
- Establish market strategy in collaboration with the Americas Region healthcare leader
- Lead and participate in business development efforts resulting in securing ongoing work with existing clients and opening up opportunities with new clients
- Support career development for our members including mentorship and participation in promotion, appraisal, and review processes
- Manage Profit/Loss across your projects
- Project Directorship as the Principal in Charge of major healthcare projects, representing the firm, establishing technical concepts, ensuring quality delivery, and quality commercial outcomes
Requirements
- 20 or more years of experience within Engineering Consulting within the Healthcare Sector in the United States
- Professional Engineering accreditation
- Large (building’s scale) project management experience
- United States hospital (acute inpatient) design experience
- Mechanical or Electrical engineer
- Strong California Healthcare market relationships with OSHPD experience is an advantage

Pay
The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Los Angeles is $270,000 to $320,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
