Healthcare Operations Associate - Full Time
About the role
We are an early stage, Y Combinator-backed health tech start-up using generative AI to help automate calls to payors. We are seeking a Healthcare Operations Associate to join our small team full-time. The role involves assisting our generative AI-powered platform in making calls to payors, checking call outputs for accuracy and completeness, reviewing call recordings for quality, training our AI technology with feedback and recommendations, and identifying new opportunities. You will work closely with the two founders to shape the direction of the company.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Previous experience in insurance benefits verification, prior authorization, and/or medical billing
- Experience in healthcare for 2+ years
- Able to execute a high volume of tasks with extreme accuracy, balancing for speed
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving and recommendation skills
- Loves learning quickly and trying out new technologies, including generative AI
- Excited about iterating quickly and solving complex problems in a rapidly changing environment of a small start-up
- Thrives in the flexibility of a remote working environment
- Enjoys building in a small, close-knit team with no bureaucracy
- Able to work in compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguard personal information
Qualifications
- Previous experience in insurance benefits verification, prior authorization, and/or medical billing
- Or, previous experience as a pharmacy technician or other health insurance background
- 1-2 years of customer service, sales, or call center experience
