About the role

As a Healthcare Customer Service Collections – Self-Pay, you will assist clients' customers with outstanding balance accounts to secure payment while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls as a representative of the hospital to arrange debt repayment based on the patient's financial situation and client repayment guidelines, using credit card, check, or obtained insurance.
  • Record all updates and acquired information on accounts.
  • Understand and utilize HIPAA and TCPA guidelines during each call.
  • Ensure all required statements have been sent for accounts handled and request statements as necessary.
  • Properly manage patient disputes by obtaining all pertinent information, noting the dispute on the account, and escalating to a supervisor as necessary.
