About the role

The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) partners with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from patients to start the best course of treatment with urgency. This role involves educating patients on treatment choices, overcoming objections, and ensuring the dentist’s schedule remains productive while maintaining a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).

Responsibilities

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Gain a financial commitment from patients to start the dentistry diagnosed by the dentist.
  • Achieve proficiency in PDS systems and tools to assist patients in making informed decisions for their unique needs.
  • Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician for every exam patient.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on financial options to provide budget-friendly choices for patients.
  • Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
  • Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients prior to completing treatment.
  • Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model, including internal and external referrals.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand business imperatives and how the role impacts metrics and results.
  • Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand, making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.
  • Support clinical excellence by understanding and promoting the Mouth Body Connection.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, state, federal, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Travel might be required between offices.
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business is preferred.

Pay

$15.75–$22.00 per hour.
