About the role
The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) partners with supported Dentists to help patients commit financially to starting the best course of treatment with urgency. Key responsibilities include understanding and utilizing financial options to support case acceptance, educating patients on treatment choices, overcoming common patient objections, and proactively keeping Dentists’ schedules productive. The HC supports each patient in a consultative and educational manner while ensuring a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).
Responsibilities
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
- Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry the Dentist diagnoses.
- Achieve proficiency in PDS systems and tools to assist patients in making the best decisions for their unique needs.
- Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician for every exam patient.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on all available financial options to fit patients’ budgets.
- Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients prior to completing treatment.
- Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model, including internal and external referrals.
- Actively participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
- Understand business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.
- Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand, making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.
- Become knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Travel might be required between offices.

- Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.

Pay
$20.75–$29.00 per hour.
