Southwest Care Center is a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM. We provide a wide range of healthcare services including medical, behavioral health, case management, community outreach, diabetes education, and pharmacy services. Responsibilities
Lead the development of the $70M annual operating budget, aligning it with the organization’s mission.
Develop and manage sophisticated rolling forecasts and "what-if" models to support long-term decision-making.
Provide deep-dive analysis on departmental spend and revenue performance, translating data into actionable insights for non-financial managers.
Oversee financial compliance for federal and state grants, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and deadlines.
Prepare and submit annual Uniform Data System (UDS) reports and Federal Financial Reports (FFR).
Analyze the financial health of the 340B program and optimize the Revenue Cycle.
Act as the Finance "Super User" for Workday, identifying and implementing automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
Design and maintain real-time Workday dashboards for clinical directors to monitor labor costs and supply spend.
Collaborate with the Remote Sr. Financial Analyst to ensure accurate data flow from clinical operations to the General Ledger.
Engage in cross-training with the Accounting Manager to build institutional knowledge and support a formal succession plan.
Support the Accounting Manager during the annual external audit, focusing on grant compliance and internal control documentation.
Collaborate with the Pharmacy and Billing departments to enhance the 340B program and improve the Revenue Cycle.
Requirements
Experience: 8+ years of progressive financial leadership, preferably in FQHC, Community Health Center, or complex Healthcare environments.
ERP Proficiency: Proven experience managing or optimizing Workday Finance (or a similar Tier 1 ERP like NetSuite/Oracle).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA highly preferred.
Local Presence: Must be based in or willing to commute to Santa Fe/ABQ for hybrid work to maintain a strong physical presence in our clinics.
Communication: Ability to explain complex financial concepts to clinical staff and executive leadership with clarity and wit.
