Health Unit Coordinator in a busy Perinatal-Postpartum Unit.

Responsibilities

• Manage communication systems, answer phones, triage calls, and respond courteously to patient and family inquiries.
• Assist in maintaining an organized, welcoming environment, coordinate patient flow, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Prepare discharge packets, handle paperwork, and coordinate transportation.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Utilize systems like Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

• Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and computer skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively within a healthcare team to deliver quality patient care.
