Health Unit Coordinator – Complex Medicine Unit

Responsibilities

• Conduct an in-person greeting, welcome and orientation to the unit for newly admitted and transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights and make rounds.
• Absorb and process patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Aid patients and families with wayfinding and direct them to available resources.
• Assemble and maintain patient medical records and other documents related to patient care.
• Assist with unit clerical functions and in trouble-shooting equipment failures, such as call system, portable phones, WOWs and other unit devices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience in a customer service-related role
• Experience with typing, computer training or equivalent coursework

Qualifications

• College degree
• Microsoft Office experience

Skills

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Ensure an efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providing optimal patient care.

Benefits

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.25
Maximum hourly: $24.95
