About the role
We are seeking a motivated Health Unit Coordinator to join our team in the Cardiac Med/Surg Unit at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a part-time weekend position with shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Answer call lights and phone calls promptly
- Order and take inventory of unit supplies and equipment
- Maintain patient chart folders
- Greet and assist all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
- Maintain a neat and orderly nursing station
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate's Degree (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
No prior experience is required.

This role is located at Baptist Medical Center South, serving the rapidly growing neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties. The hospital combines resort-like amenities with advanced medical care to address the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families.
