Health Unit Coord/ Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

The Clinic Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) will provide clinical and clerical duties in support of the health care team, and all Clinic areas. Work closely with HUC/CNA, Nurses and Providers to ensure a positive and seamless patient experience by facilitating patient referrals and correspondence to other care providers in and outside of RLMC to ensure continuum of care and facilitating/managing insurance prior authorizations. Function as a resource to all members of the health care team, be familiar with general resources within the organization, and communicate effectively via a variety of modalities with patients, staff, providers, and visitors.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of clinic, customer service or front desk clerical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 1 year of hire
• High School graduate or equivalent

Qualifications

• CNA Certification
• Medical terminology course or equivalent
• One or more years’ experience with prior insurance authorizations; retail pharmacy medications or insurance drug plans.
